I would like to draw on the theme of "prizes and popular culture" and explore how prizes affect the way popular culture develop and vice versa. Prizes can influence popular culture as some prizes, especially popular ones, are widely publicised and concussed by a worldwide audience. Popular culture can also influence prizes due to the need of prizes to stay relevant, driving the desire to recognise what is popular in order to increase publicity for the prize itself and maintain its relevance, etc.

Hi Hongbin, it is still very general, as you acknowledge. In its present state it could be the scope of a book or dissertation. You will have to find a very specific primary text to help direct your research in a more focused manner.
